In spite of the announcement at the beginning of 2017 that our general manager Anton van Limpt wouldn’t participate in the Dakar rally anymore, he got an irresistible request shortly after our move to Veldhoven to go to South America and participate as navigator in a car.
As Anton was used to participate with trucks, participation with a car was an entirely new challenge for him in this “Toughest rally of the world”. This year’s rally really was a tough one, with many dunes and bad roads. In spite of many lows and disappointments they finished after more than 10000 heavy kilometres.
